I'm Samantha! I'm also the erye (ee-ray) in erye.film - taken from my Korean name. I'm a film and documentary photographer rooted in Hong Kong and Seoul.
I began as a videographer and producer in Seoul, and have always been charmed by people and colours. While I still enjoy curated production, I've thrived in the liberty of shooting outside the 4-wall studio, striking a pose on the bustling Hong Kong streets or getting soaked in the Korean monsoon. Growing up in Belgium, UK, and Thailand and now based in Hong Kong and Seoul, I've grown an affinity for blending each culture into my work, and an appreciation for each person's distinct story.

I am sensitive by nature and easily malleable. I like to mould myself into who you need on your shooting day: Attentive, fun, encouraging — if you're in need of a creative outlet or a friend to hype you up; comfortable and vigilant - so you can ugly cry if you need to, or share an intimate moment. My role is to polish myself into the best medium to draw out your authenticity.
